Ellie Wilson's Saab 9-3 at Top Gear

A CAR enthusiast from Oakenshaw South had his pride and joy featured on motoring show Top Gear.
Ellie Wilson, of Towbury Close, saw his favourite Saab car, which he uses for everyday driving, featured on a special episode of the programme aired on Sunday (February 26) celebrating 50 years of Saab production.
The car, a 2009 9-3 Aero twin-turbo special edition, was test-driven and filmed in action in Chippenham, Wiltshire.
As a director of the Saab Owners Club Great Britain, Mr Wilson was approached by show producers who wanted specific models from certain years.
The 48-year-old said: "We were asked to provide cars spanning the life of Saab from the early sixties to the present day.
"I am so happy to see my car on a show like this. It's my pride and joy. The fact it's a Saab special is also very exciting. I just love the cars. They are just a different drive and experience, like nothing else", he said.
"I think I'm a bit obsessed!"
Mr Wilson purchased his first Saab in 1983 and is now the proud owner of his 16th model. He also recently bought his wife a Saab 9-3 Vector Sport Anniversary.
